Wonders of Creation Hike

Experiential Rosh Hashanah Program with Rabbi Peter Levi

On Rosh Hashanah, we celebrate God’s creating the world. Join Rabbi Peter Levi on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah (Thursday, Sept. 21) for hiking in God’s beautiful wilderness and blowing shofar on top of a mountain. Afterwards, we will go to Laguna Beach for Tashlikh, casting away our sins into a natural body of water.

hike mapWe’ll be hiking in the Laguna Canyon Wilderness Area on the Water Tank Road (a moderate level hike). Meet at the trail head at the top of Poplar Street in Laguna Beach at 2 p.m. (see map). Remember to bring a hat, sun screen, water, a piece of bread (for Tashlikh) and your shofar if you’d like to blow it on the mountain top. Parking is free. Registration is required; please sign up below.
