Interested in hosting a Shabbat service and dinner for young families in your community? Consider hosting a “Fun Table” event!
If you have a group of young families in your community who are interested in joining together for a fun musical Friday night experience and potluck dinner in a private home or community room, please let us know! You provide the space, invite your friends, and organize a vegetarian dinner. The Jewish Collaborative will provide a leader and work with you to create a meaningful program, including an informal, musical “mini-service,” brief story-telling or age-appropriate learning and blessings before the Shabbat meal.
Fun Table events are generally held on the second or third Friday Night of the month beginning around 5 p.m.
After the pilot, we can help you determine the best way for you to continue enjoying Shabbat with young families in your community–through the Jewish Collaborative, with a synagogue or other existing Jewish community or on your own with leadership training.
If you’d like to know what your Shabbat program could look like, please join us for our next Fun Table event, or one of our other young family programs offered monthly.
Please let us know about your interest in a “Fun Table” program by emailing Marcy Shapiro at email@example.com
