HIAS National Refugee Shabbat is taking place across the country October 19th and 20th. The Orange County Jewish Coalition for Refugees and OC Welcome Campaign organizations are celebrating National Refugee Shabbat locally this October and November.

CBI Diaper Drive to benefit locally resettled refugee families: Sukkot through Thanksgiving
Congregation B’nai Israel is holding a Diaper Drive for the Tiyya Foundation Sukkot through Thanksgiving.
Donations can be dropped off at CBI. at 2111. Bryan Av., Tustin. Most needed are diapers, sizes 4-6, and wipes.

Immigration & Refugees: A Deeper Look, Sunday October 21st
This program is being offered by Congregation B’nai Tzedek of Fountain Valley, and is open to the entire community. RSVP to to email@example.com or Sarah in the Congregation B’nai Tzedek front office 714-963-4611.
On this program, we will travel to Los Angeles to gain a deeper understanding of the various perspectives on immigration and refugees in the United States. This program offers the unique opportunity to participate in a Q&A with an ICE agent, enjoy delicious lunch at a refugee or immigrant owned restaurant and hear from recipients of the DACA grant. In addition, we may meet with activists, artists and attorneys advocating for the rights of immigrants and refugees in Los Angeles.
