Jeremy Kagan is a director, writer, and producer of feature films and television. His newest dramatic feature is SHOT about what one bullet does to many lives. Among his other eleven features are Heroes; The Big Fix; The Chosen and The Journey of Natty Gann. His television credits include the DGA Award-nominated Crown Heights; Conspiracy: The Trial of The Chicago 8 (ACE Award); and the Golden Globe-nominated Roswell: The UFO Cover-up. He has also directed popular series including The West Wing and Chicago Hope, for which he received a Primetime Directing Emmy; and he directed and produced the ten-part series on civil liberties, Freedom Files. Professor Kagan has written four books including DIRECTORS CLOSE UP vol 1 and vol 2 and Keys to Directing, and My Death: A Personal Guidebook. He chairs the Directors Guild Special Projects Committee providing educational events for its 18,000 members and is a tenured professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he founded the Change Making Media Lab – www.cmml-usc.org.
