Visiting UCI Professor Denis Charbit will will be the first of featured guest lecturers at our upcoming Summer Learning Institute. Professor Charbit is a political scientist from Israel’s Open University, specializing in intellectual and cultural history (France, 20th Century); the history of ideas (Zionism); Israeli politics; and politics and religion. His publications include Israel and Its Paradoxes (Le Cavalier Bleu Editions, 2015 – in French); A History of Jewish-Muslim Relations: From the Origins to the Present Day (Princeton University Press, 2013 – contributing author); and The French Intellectuals and Israel (Bibliothèque des fondations, 2009 – in French).
